Connect ChatGPT to OneHaus
Connect OneHaus to ChatGPT and manage your household in plain language. Ask what is due today, add to the shopping list, or reschedule an event without leaving the chat. For the full list of what you can ask, see Connect AI Assistants.
Before you start
- A OneHaus account. If you do not have one yet, set it up in the OneHaus app first.
- A ChatGPT plan that supports custom connectors. Custom connectors are a paid feature, and on some plans you need to turn on developer mode to add your own. ChatGPT's options change over time, so check its connector settings for the latest.
Add OneHaus as a connector
- In ChatGPT, open Settings.
- Go to Connectors (you may find this under Apps or a similar heading).
- Choose to add a custom connector or add a remote MCP server.
- Give it a name, for example
OneHaus. - For the server URL, enter
https://mcp.onehaus.app. - Confirm to add it.
Sign in and approve
- ChatGPT opens a OneHaus sign in window. Sign in with your OneHaus account.
- Review the access ChatGPT is asking for (viewing your household and making changes), then approve.
- The window closes and OneHaus shows as connected.
Use it
Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT about your household, for example:
- "What is on my OneHaus list today?"
- "Add milk and eggs to the shopping list."
- "What is on the calendar this weekend?"
If you do not see OneHaus actions in a chat, make sure the OneHaus connector is enabled for that conversation.
Disconnect
To stop ChatGPT accessing your household, open Settings, go to Connectors, find OneHaus, and remove it.
Troubleshooting
- The connector option is missing. Custom connectors need a supported paid plan, and may require turning on developer mode in ChatGPT's settings.
- Sign in does not finish. Confirm you can sign in to the OneHaus app with the same account, then try connecting again.
- OneHaus connected but no actions appear. Check that the OneHaus connector is turned on for your current chat.
