Recipes in OneHaus let your household save, organise, and share meals in one place. When it is time to cook, add all the ingredients to your shopping list in one tap.

Creating a Recipe
Tap + on the Recipes screen. Give it a name. You can also add a link to an external recipe, instructions, and the number of servings. Recipes are shared with all household members.
Managing Ingredients
Each recipe can have a list of ingredients. For each ingredient, set a name, quantity, and optionally a category (produce, dairy, frozen, etc.). Categories help sort items when they are added to a shopping list later.
Linking to External Recipes
Use the URL field to bookmark a recipe from the web. This is useful for saving favourites from recipe websites without copying the full instructions.
Adding Ingredients to Shopping
Tap Add to Shopping List on any recipe to bulk-add ingredients. You can select which ingredients to include. OneHaus uses AI to correct categories and names so items are properly sorted on your shopping list.
Editing and Deleting
Tap a recipe to view and edit its details. Change the name, ingredients, URL, instructions, or servings at any time. Swipe to delete a recipe. Deleting a recipe does not remove items already added to a shopping list.
Collaborative Recipes
All household members see the same recipe collection. Any member can create, edit, or delete recipes. Changes sync across the household in the background and on pull-to-refresh.
Tips
- Use the AI Chat to create recipes: "Add a recipe for spaghetti bolognese"
- Save frequently cooked meals for quick reuse
- Before a grocery run, open a recipe and send its ingredients to the shopping list
Troubleshooting
- Items not categorised correctly on shopping list: The AI does its best to match categories. You can override the category for any item on the shopping list by tapping it.
- Recipe not syncing: Ensure you have an active internet connection. Pull down to refresh.
