How it works

Tap the chat icon to open a conversation with OneHaus. Type or use voice input to give commands or ask questions. The assistant can see everything in your household: tasks, calendar events, every shopping list you keep, recipes and meal plans, contacts, pets, vehicles, appliances, documents and subscriptions. It knows your household context and answers from it.

Ask for a house review

OneHaus looks over your household and writes up what needs attention: an appliance with no warranty date, a vehicle with no MOT, a pet with no vet contact. Ask the assistant "what needs attention?" to read the review. Each recommendation can be acted on, put off until later, or skipped for good.

Start typing in the chat bar to search your whole household at once: tasks, calendar events, shopping items, recipes, contacts, pets, vehicles, appliances, documents and subscriptions. Two characters is enough. Results come back grouped by category, from the copy of your data already on the phone.

Home screen shortcuts

A row of chips sits below the Today panel on the home screen. Which ones you see depends on what your household has switched on:

Schedule: opens the schedule view described below. It starts on Overdue when you have overdue tasks, otherwise on Today.
Meal plan and Recipes: this week's plan, or your saved recipes.
Browse Household: search across everything you keep in OneHaus.
Bills: opens Budget.
AI Review: only appears when the house review has recommendations waiting, with the number on the chip.
Momentum: how the household is keeping up.
What can I do?: example prompts and quick commands.

Schedule, Momentum and What can I do? work on any household. The rest are part of OneHaus Pro.

The counts at the top of the home screen are shortcuts too. Tap the tasks count for every task, the events count for what is coming up, and the shopping count for your list.

Schedule view

The schedule is a full screen list of your tasks and events grouped by day, under a weekday heading. Filter chips across the top switch between Overdue, Today, This Week, Next Week and Everything, plus Recurring when repeating tasks or events are switched on. The buttons at the bottom add a new task or event without leaving the view.

Context awareness

OneHaus knows your household context. It understands who your household members are, what tasks are assigned, what events are coming up, and what is in your inventory. So a follow up question does not need to restate anything.

For example, you can say "Add a vet appointment for Bella on Friday" and then follow up with "Make it recurring every 6 months" without restating the details.

What OneHaus remembers

Tell the assistant something that holds true beyond one conversation and it keeps it. "We do the big clean on Sunday mornings" or "the back gate code is for the dog walker only" gets stored and used later, so you do not repeat yourself. Ask "what do you remember about us?" to hear it back, and say "forget that" when something stops being true.

Voice input

Tap the microphone icon to speak instead of type. Voice input is part of OneHaus Pro and works well hands free while you cook, drive or clean.

You can enable the auto-submit voice recording option in Settings & Preferences. When this is turned on, OneHaus automatically sends your message as soon as you stop speaking, so you do not need to tap a send button.

Add from a photo

You can also send the assistant a photo or a PDF. Snap a receipt, an appliance label, a school letter or an event flyer, or attach a quote that arrived as a document, and OneHaus reads it, then creates the right tasks, events, shopping items or inventory records for you. Tap + to take a new picture, choose one from your library, or pick a file. You can also share one straight from your phone into OneHaus. Attachments in chat are part of OneHaus Pro. Tips

Be natural. You do not need special commands or keywords.
OneHaus remembers context within a conversation, so you can ask follow-ups.
If OneHaus is not sure what you mean, it will ask for clarification.
Tell it things worth keeping. Anything durable you mention gets remembered for next time.
You can request "help" at any time in the app.

Troubleshooting

AI not understanding: Try rephrasing your request. Be specific about what you want. For example, instead of "fix it," say "mark the laundry task as complete."
Voice not working: Check that you have granted OneHaus microphone permissions in your device settings.
Issues completing your request: Let us know in the feedback section of the app and we'll get on fixing it.
