Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", or "User") and ASB Media Investment Group, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14376894, trading as OneHaus ("OneHaus", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the OneHaus mobile application, website at onehaus.app, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is greater), to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a household, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that household to these Terms and that all household members you invite to the Service are aware of and agree to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

OneHaus is an AI-powered household management application available on iOS and the web. The Service is designed to help individuals and households organise and manage their domestic responsibilities through a range of features, including:

  • Task management — create, assign, and track household tasks with support for recurring schedules.
  • Calendar — manage household events and appointments, with the ability to sync with external calendar services.
  • Shopping lists — create and share shopping lists collaboratively with household members.
  • Contact sync — sync and manage household contacts across devices.
  • Push notifications — receive timely reminders and updates about tasks, events, and household activity.
  • House and member collaboration — set up your household, invite members, and collaborate on shared responsibilities.
  • AI chat assistant — interact with an AI-powered assistant for help with household management questions, suggestions, and organisation.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes to core functionality.

3. Account Registration

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@onehaus.app if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

Each individual may maintain only one account. You may not create multiple accounts for yourself. You may be a member of one or more households within the Service, but each household membership is tied to your single account.

We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion if we reasonably believe that account information is inaccurate or that an account is being used in violation of these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

OneHaus operates on a freemium model. Certain features of the Service are available at no charge, while premium features require a paid subscription.

Premium subscriptions are available at various tiers and billing intervals as displayed within the app. All subscription purchases and payments are processed through the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android). By subscribing, you agree to the applicable app store's terms of service and payment terms.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings:

  • iOS — Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > OneHaus
  • Android — Google Play Store > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > OneHaus

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that period expires.

Refunds are governed by the policies of the applicable app store (Apple or Google). OneHaus does not directly process payments or issue refunds. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact the relevant app store.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. If we increase the price of your subscription tier, we will provide you with at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect. Your continued subscription after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the AI chat assistant to generate, request, or disseminate content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable, or that promotes illegal activity.
  • Harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten other household members or any users of the Service.
  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any subscription limits, access controls, or security features of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the application or any part of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or any other automated means to access, collect data from, or interact with the Service.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service, its servers, or connected networks.
  • Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service or interfere with any other party's use of the Service.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this section, including removal of content, suspension or termination of accounts, and reporting to law enforcement authorities.

6. User Content

"User Content" means any data, text, or other materials that you create, upload, submit, or store through the Service, including but not limited to tasks, shopping lists, calendar entries, contacts, household information, and chat messages.

You retain full ownership of all User Content. OneHaus does not claim ownership over any of your User Content.

By using the Service, you grant OneHaus a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purposes of providing, maintaining, and improving the Service. This licence exists only for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow for data deletion processes.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, quality, and legality of your User Content. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to submit your User Content to the Service and to grant the licence described above.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service includes an AI-powered chat assistant that can provide suggestions, answers, and other responses ("AI-Generated Content"). You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-Generated Content is provided for general informational and household management purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to medical, legal, financial, tax, or safety advice.
  • AI-Generated Content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. AI systems can produce incorrect results, including fabricated information that appears plausible.
  • You are solely responsible for evaluating and verifying any AI-Generated Content before acting upon it. You should not rely on AI-Generated Content as the sole basis for any decision.
  • OneHaus does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of any AI-Generated Content.
  • For matters requiring professional expertise, you should consult a qualified professional rather than relying on the AI assistant.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including but not limited to the OneHaus application, website, software, design, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade names, and all other intellectual property embodied in or associated with the Service, are and shall remain the exclusive property of ASB Media Investment Group (trading as OneHaus) or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service or its intellectual property, other than the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, sublicence, create derivative works from, publicly display, sell, lease, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service or its intellectual property without our prior written consent. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except to the extent that such restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law.

As stated in the User Content section above, you retain ownership of your User Content. These intellectual property provisions do not affect your rights in your own content.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Service. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms by reference.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or provide access to third-party services, including but not limited to:

  • External calendar services (e.g., Google Calendar, Apple Calendar) through calendar sync features.
  • Device contact services through contact sync features.
  • The Apple App Store and Google Play Store for app distribution and payment processing.
  • Third-party authentication providers for account sign-in.

These third-party services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. OneHaus is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, or practices of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

Any links to third-party websites or services within the app or on our website are provided for convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation by OneHaus.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon account deletion, your active subscription (if any) will not be automatically cancelled — you must separately cancel your subscription through the relevant app store to avoid further charges.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
  • Conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users, the Service, or third parties.
  • Extended periods of inactivity.
  • Requests by law enforcement or government agencies.
  • Discontinuation or material modification of the Service.

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide you with notice before terminating your account, unless termination is required to prevent harm or is required by law.

Upon termination of your account, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Your User Content will be deleted after a reasonable period (typically within 90 days), except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution.

The following sections of these Terms shall survive termination: Intellectual Property, User Content (licence provisions), AI-Generated Content (disclaimers), Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • The results obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected.
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

Any features designated as "beta", "preview", or "experimental" are provided without any warranty whatsoever. Beta features may be unstable, may contain bugs, and may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.

The disclaimers in this section do not affect any statutory rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract under applicable law, including your rights as a consumer under UK or EU consumer protection legislation.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ONEHAUS, ASB MEDIA INVESTMENT GROUP, OR THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

  • Your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service.
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
  • Any User Content or AI-Generated Content obtained from the Service.
  • Unauthorised access to, use of, or alteration of your data or transmissions.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US (THROUGH THE APPLICABLE APP STORE) IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY POUNDS STERLING (£50), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ASB Media Investment Group (trading as OneHaus), its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or in connection with:

  • Your breach of these Terms.
  • Your misuse of the Service.
  • Your User Content, including any claims that your User Content infringes or violates the intellectual property rights or other rights of any third party.
  • Any third-party claims arising from your use of the Service or any activity conducted through your account.

This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable UK or EU law. If you are a consumer resident in the UK or the European Union, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you are resident, and nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection afforded to you by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under the law of your country of residence.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we will provide you with notice through one or more of the following methods: an in-app notification, a push notification, or an email to the address associated with your account. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before material changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

17. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving its original intent. If such modification is not possible, the provision shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by OneHaus. A waiver of any right or provision on one occasion shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision on any subsequent occasion.

18. Apple App Store (End User Licence Agreement)

The following additional terms apply where you download, access, or use the OneHaus iOS application (the "Application") from the Apple App Store. In the event of any conflict between this section and the remainder of these Terms with respect to your use of the iOS Application, this section prevails. For the purposes of this section, "Apple" means Apple Inc.

  • Acknowledgement. These Terms are concluded between you and OneHaus only, and not with Apple. OneHaus, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Application and its content. These Terms do not provide for usage rules for the Application that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions; in the event of a conflict, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions will govern.
  • Scope of Licence. The licence granted to you for the Application is a non-transferable licence to use the Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and only as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the Application may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
  • Maintenance and Support. OneHaus is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services in respect of the Application, as required under applicable law or as specified in these Terms. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services in respect of the Application.
  • Warranty. OneHaus is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be OneHaus's sole responsibility.
  • Product Claims. OneHaus, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Application or your possession and/or use of the Application, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
  • Intellectual Property Rights. In the event of any third-party claim that the Application or your possession and use of the Application infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, OneHaus, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
  • Legal Compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Third-Party Terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Application.
  • Third-Party Beneficiary. You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
