Home Inventory is where the boring facts live: the serial number on the boiler, the MOT date, the microchip number, the passport that expires next spring.

Categories
Appliances
- Name: what you own, such as "Samsung Washing Machine"
- Brand: the manufacturer
- Model: the model number
- Serial number: for warranty claims and support
- Purchase date: when you bought it
- Warranty expiry date: when coverage ends
- Warranty document: the document record for the warranty, created in Documents first
- Insurance document: the document record for any related policy
- Notes: repair history, maintenance tips
Vehicles
- Make: the manufacturer, such as "Toyota"
- Model: the model, such as "Corolla"
- Year: the year of manufacture
- Registration number: your vehicle's licence plate
- VIN: Vehicle Identification Number
- Colour
- MOT due date: when the next MOT is due
- Tax due date: when vehicle tax needs renewing
- Service due date: when the next service is scheduled
- Insurance document: the document record for your vehicle policy
- Notes: service history, tyre size
Pets
- Name: your pet's name
- Date of birth: when they were born, or an estimate
- Microchip number: for identification and registration
- Vet contact: a contact from your Contacts list, so the vet's details are one tap away
- Insurance document: the document record for your pet's policy
- Notes: dietary needs, medication schedules
Documents
- Title: what you want to call it. Left blank, OneHaus names it after the type and number.
- Document type: Passport, Insurance, Certificate, Warranty, License, or Other
- Document number: the unique identifier for the document
- Issuing authority: who issued it
- Expiry date: when the document expires, so OneHaus can remind you before it lapses
- Fee: an amount, where the document costs something to renew
- Files: the document itself
- Notes: any additional details
Attach files by opening a document and adding them, or by sharing a PDF from another app into OneHaus, which files it against a document for you. Files can be up to 4 MB each, in PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC, and each document holds up to 10. OneHaus tells you when you hit either limit.
Subscriptions
- Name: the service, such as "Netflix" or "Gym Membership"
- Status: active, paused or cancelled
- Renewal schedule: how often it renews
- Start date: when the subscription began, which is what the renewal schedule counts from
- Fee amount: the cost per renewal period, in any currency you like
- Remind me: whether OneHaus nudges you before it renews
- Notes: account details, cancellation terms

Currencies
Every currency in active circulation is available, around 155 of them, so you can record a subscription in whatever it is actually billed in. Tap the currency beside the fee to open the picker and search by code, symbol or name in your own language.
OneHaus preselects the currency that suits where you are, and you can set a different default for the device under Preferences. The currencies you use most recently stay near the top of the picker.
Each subscription keeps its own currency, so a household paying for one service in euros and another in yen can record both as they really are. Amounts are stored to the precision the currency is actually written in: two decimal places for most, none for the yen, three for the Kuwaiti dinar.
Tips
- OneHaus reminds you 30 days, 7 days and on the day for document expiry dates, a vehicle's MOT, tax and service dates, and subscription renewals. Appliance warranties get a "Warranty expiring" task created 30 days before the end date instead, so they show up in your task list rather than as a push.
- Adding a vehicle or a pet unlocks the matching Task Pack. Car Maintenance works from the vehicle's service date, New Pet from the pet's date of birth.
- Use the AI Chat: "When does the washing machine warranty expire?"
Troubleshooting
- A file will not attach: files are capped at 4 MB each and must be a PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC. OneHaus says which limit you hit.
- Linking documents: create the document record first in the Documents category, then link it from the relevant appliance, vehicle, or pet entry.
