Home Inventory helps you keep track of everything your household owns and manages.
Categories
OneHaus organizes your inventory into five categories:
Appliances
Track your household appliances with the following fields:
- Name: What you own (e.g., "Samsung Washing Machine")
- Brand: The manufacturer or brand name
- Model: The specific model number
- Serial number: For warranty claims and support
- Purchase date: When you bought it
- Warranty expiry date: When coverage ends
- Warranty document link: A link to the warranty document for quick reference
- Insurance document link: A link to any related insurance policy
- Notes: Repair history, maintenance tips, or any other details
Vehicles
Manage your household vehicles with:
- Make: The manufacturer (e.g., "Toyota")
- Model: The specific model (e.g., "Corolla")
- Year: The year of manufacture
- Registration number: Your vehicle's licence plate
- VIN: Vehicle Identification Number
- Colour: The vehicle's colour
- MOT due date: When the next MOT is due
- Tax due date: When vehicle tax needs renewing
- Service due date: When the next service is scheduled
- Insurance document link: A link to your vehicle insurance policy
- Notes: Service history, tyre size, or other details
Pets
Keep pet information organized:
- Name: Your pet's name
- Date of birth: When they were born (or an estimate)
- Microchip number: For identification and registration
- Vet contact: Links to a contact from your Contacts list, so you can quickly find your vet's details
- Insurance document link: A link to your pet's insurance policy
- Notes: Dietary needs, medication schedules, or other details
Documents
Store references to important documents:
- Document type: The kind of document (passport, insurance, certificate, warranty, license, or other)
- Document number: The unique identifier for the document
- Issuing authority: Who issued the document
- Expiry date: When the document expires, so OneHaus can remind you before it lapses
- Notes: Any additional details or reminders
Subscriptions
Track recurring subscriptions:
- Name: The service name (e.g., "Netflix," "Gym Membership")
- Status: Whether the subscription is active, paused, or cancelled
- Renewal schedule: How often it renews (monthly, annual, etc.)
- Fee amount: The cost per renewal period
- Notes: Account details, cancellation terms, or other information
Contacts
You can also manage household contacts such as plumbers, electricians, vets, and more. See Contacts & People for details.
Tips
- Set reminders for warranty expiries and service dates
- Use the AI Chat: "When does the washing machine warranty expire?"
- Review subscriptions regularly to catch services you no longer use
Troubleshooting
- Missing fields: Some fields are optional. If you do not see a field you expect, check that you are in the correct category.
- Linking documents: Create the document record first in the Documents category, then link it from the relevant appliance, vehicle, or pet entry.
