Task Packs
Task Packs turn a whole project or routine into ready-made tasks in seconds. Instead of typing out a moving checklist or a car maintenance schedule from scratch, you pick a pack, set one date, choose the items you want, and OneHaus creates them for your household.
Task Packs are part of OneHaus Premium.
What is a Task Pack?
A Task Pack is a curated checklist that OneHaus turns into real tasks, recurring tasks, and calendar events. Each pack is built around one of two shapes:
- A target date pack, like Moving House. You set the date everything works back from (your moving day), and each item lands on the right day before it.
- An ongoing pack, like Car Maintenance. You set a start date, and the items repeat on a sensible schedule from there.
You stay in control. Every item is optional, and you can edit its title, date, and who it is assigned to before anything is created.
Which packs are available?
OneHaus ships with packs for the projects and routines households ask about most, and we add more over time.
Countdown packs that work back from a date you set:
- Moving House: a countdown to your moving day, including booking a moving company, telling utility providers, mail forwarding, packing, updating your address, a Moving day event, and the move-in basics like meter readings and testing the alarms.
- New Baby: a calm countdown to your due date, from your first appointment and the nursery to the hospital bag and registering the birth.
- Holiday Prep: everything to sort before a trip, such as arranging pet care, holding your mail, checking documents, and locking up.
- Just Married: the admin after the wedding, from name changes and updating accounts to merging duplicate subscriptions.
- Festive Season: a countdown to the big day for gifts, food, travel and decorations.
Ongoing packs that set up recurring reminders:
- Car Maintenance (your vehicle): tire pressure, oil and fluids, servicing, and renewing insurance.
- Appliance Care (your appliance): filters, descaling, deep cleans, leak checks, and a yearly service.
- Seasonal Home Maintenance: alarms, gutters, heating and cooling servicing, and roof checks, spread across the year.
- Weekly Household Reset: a shared cleaning routine the household can split, from daily tidies to the weekly reset.
- New Pet (your pet): the setup before they arrive plus ongoing care like checkups and treatments.
The list of packs you see is tailored to your household. A pack tied to something you own, like Car Maintenance, Appliance Care or New Pet, only appears once you have added that item to your Home Inventory.
How do I use a Task Pack?
- Open Packs from the Plan section (web) or the home screen (mobile).
- Choose a pack to see what is inside.
- Set the date at the top. For a project this is the target date to work back from; for a routine it is the start date.
- If the pack is tied to an item you own, pick which one. For Car Maintenance, choose the vehicle, and OneHaus uses its service date where it has one.
- Tick the items you want. Edit any title, date, or assignee inline.
- Create. The selected items appear straight away as tasks, recurring tasks, and events your whole household can see.
Anything created from a pack behaves like any other task or event afterwards, so you can edit, reassign, complete, or delete it at any time.
How are the dates worked out?
For a target date pack, each item has a lead time. OneHaus subtracts that from your target date so, for example, "Book a moving company" lands several weeks before the move while "Pack an essentials box" lands the day before. Any date that would fall in the past is moved to today, so nothing is created already overdue.
For an ongoing pack, items repeat from the start date you choose. Where a pack is linked to something you own, OneHaus uses that item's own date as a sensible default, such as a vehicle's service date.
Do Task Packs work on web and mobile?
Yes. Task Packs are available in the OneHaus web app under Plan > Packs and in the mobile app from the home screen. Items created from a pack sync across every device and every member of your household.
Tips
- Open a pack and read through it even if you only want a few items. It is a fast way to see what a good moving or maintenance routine looks like.
- Assign items as you create them so the work lands with a person, not just a list. See Tasks & Chores for how assignment and rotation work.
- Pair Car Maintenance with your vehicle in Home Inventory so the recurring jobs sit next to your renewal dates.
