Share into OneHaus
Share into OneHaus turns whatever is on your screen into household items, without retyping. A class schedule in a message, a photo of a school letter, an invite as a calendar file, a quote as a PDF: share it to OneHaus and it works out what to add.
OneHaus Pro: share into OneHaus is part of OneHaus Pro. See Plans & Subscription for what is included.
How it works
- In any app with a share button, whether that is Messages, Notes, email or a browser, tap Share.
- Choose OneHaus from your device's share sheet. The app opens, whether it was closed or already running, and reads what you sent.
- OneHaus proposes the items it found.
- Review the proposals, edit or untick anything, and accept the ones you want.
What you can share
- Text and links: the everyday case. Select some text, or share a page, and OneHaus pulls the tasks, dates and contacts out of it.
- Photos: share a picture from your camera roll and OneHaus reads it the same way, then proposes items. One photo at a time.
- Calendar files (.ics) and contact cards (.vcf): OneHaus reads the file and proposes the event or the contact from it.
- PDFs: a shared PDF is filed as an attachment against one of your documents rather than turned into proposals. Up to 4 MB per file.
What OneHaus can create
Proposals are grouped under these headings, with a count on each:
- Tasks
- Repeating tasks
- Events
- Shopping
- Contacts
Reviewing proposals
Nothing is added until you confirm. In the review sheet you can:
- Edit the title of any proposed item inline before accepting it.
- Deselect anything you do not want. Every item starts selected, so just untick the ones to skip.
- Accept all selected items at once with a single tap. Blank items are ignored.
OneHaus then creates the selected items and lets you know if any could not be added. If it cannot find anything worth adding, it says so and leaves your household untouched.
Tips
- Forward a party invite, a tradesperson's quote or a recipe's ingredients and let the review sheet sort them.
- Trim the shared text down to the part that matters if you want more focused proposals.
- Review the titles before accepting. A quick edit now is faster than fixing an item later.
Troubleshooting
- OneHaus is not in my share sheet: make sure OneHaus is installed and you have opened it at least once. On iOS, you may need to scroll the share sheet and tap More to enable OneHaus.
- OneHaus asks me to sign in: sharing needs an account and a household. Sign in and set up a house first.
- I was asked to upgrade: share into OneHaus is part of OneHaus Pro. See Plans & Subscription.
- A proposal looks wrong: edit its title before accepting, or deselect it and add the item manually. The more specific the shared text, the better the proposals.
