We are launching Task Packs: ready-made checklists that turn a whole project or routine into real tasks in your household in seconds.

Some jobs are not one task, they are twenty. Moving to a new home means booking a moving company, telling the utility providers, forwarding your mail, packing, and updating your address everywhere, each on its own sensible day. Keeping a car on the road means checking the tires, checking the fluids, booking a service and renewing the insurance, on repeat. Nobody enjoys typing all of that out, so most of us never do. Task Packs do it for you.

What is a Task Pack?

A Task Pack is a curated checklist that OneHaus turns into real tasks, recurring chores and calendar events for your whole household. You pick the pack, set one date, choose the items you want, and they appear ready to go.

There are two shapes, because projects and routines are not the same thing:

  • A target date pack, like Moving House. You set the date everything counts down to, and each item lands on the right day before it.
  • An ongoing pack, like Car Maintenance. You set a start date and the items repeat on a sensible schedule from there.

Either way, you stay in control. Every item is optional, and you can change its title, its date and who it is assigned to before anything is created.

How does Moving House work?

Open the Moving House pack and set your moving day at the top. OneHaus works backwards from that date so each job lands when it actually needs doing:

  • Book a moving company, several weeks out.
  • Tell your utility providers your moving date.
  • Set up mail forwarding.
  • Start packing the things you will not need.
  • Update your address with your bank, employer and subscriptions.
  • Pack an essentials box the day before.
  • Add a Moving day event to the shared calendar.

Tick the ones you want, adjust any dates, assign jobs to whoever is doing them, and create. If your move is only a week away, any item whose ideal date has already passed simply moves to today, so nothing arrives already overdue.

How does Car Maintenance work?

Car Maintenance is an ongoing pack, so instead of a deadline you choose a start date. Add your vehicle to your Home Inventory first and the pack will offer it, using its service date where it has one. The pack sets up recurring reminders to:

  • Check tire pressure.
  • Check oil and fluid levels.
  • Book a full service.
  • Renew the insurance.

From then on the reminders show up on their own rhythm, sitting right next to the rest of your household's dates rather than in a separate app.

Do I have to use the whole pack?

No. A pack is a starting point, not a script. Untick anything that does not apply, rename items to match how your household talks, move dates around, and set who is responsible. Once created, every item behaves like any other task or event in OneHaus, so you can edit, reassign, complete or delete it at any time.

Which packs can I use, and where?

At launch you can use the Moving House and Car Maintenance packs, and we will keep adding more for the projects households ask about most. The packs you see are tailored to your household, so a pack tied to something you own, like Car Maintenance, appears once you have added a vehicle.

Task Packs are available in the OneHaus web app under Plan, and in the mobile app from the home screen. They are part of OneHaus Premium, and everything you create syncs across every device and every member of your household.
