Use OneHaus in ChatGPT, Claude & Claude Code via MCP
Connect OneHaus to ChatGPT, Claude and Claude Code with one URL. Add tasks, check the calendar and update shopping lists from a normal chat. No app switch.
Product NewsOneHaus now connects to ChatGPT, Claude and Claude Code. Add one connector URL, sign in once, and your assistant can see and update your real household: ask what's on this week, add milk to the shopping list, move the dentist appointment, or check when the car's MOT is due, all in plain language. No app switch, no copy and paste. Say it, and it's done.
OneHaus already lives on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android. Today it goes somewhere no household app has any business being: inside the conversation you were already having.
One Sentence Away From Done
Once connected, your assistant works on the same OneHaus household that lives on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android. It can touch eight record types: tasks, calendar events, shopping lists, contacts, pets, vehicles, appliances and subscriptions. So everyday admin becomes part of whatever conversation you're already in:
- Tasks and chores: "What's due today?", "Add take out the bins", "Assign the dishwasher to Sam."
- Calendar: "What's on this weekend?", "Add dentist on Thursday at 3pm", "Move parents evening to next week."
- Shopping lists: "What's on the list?", "Add milk, eggs and coffee", "Mark bread as bought."
- The rest of the house: contacts, pets, vehicles, appliances, documents and subscriptions. "When is the dog due for worming?", "What's the model of our washing machine?", "What subscriptions do we pay for?"
- A summary on demand: "Give me a rundown of what needs attention this week."
These can be multi-step. Ask "add a task to book the car in for its MOT next Friday and assign it to me", and the assistant reads the vehicle's MOT date, creates the task, sets the due date and assigns it, in one go. You're mid-conversation planning the weekend and remember the school forms? One sentence, and it's a task with a due date, assigned, and kept in sync so it shows up the next time everyone's app checks in. That's the whole feature.

How It Works, and Why It's Safe
OneHaus speaks MCP, the open standard AI assistants use to connect to outside tools. There is exactly one thing to know:
https://mcp.onehaus.app
Add that address to your assistant as a custom connector, then sign in with your OneHaus account when prompted. Your assistant handles the secure sign in for you, so you never paste a password or an API key into a chat box.
You stay in control:
- Your assistant asks for permission to view your household and to make changes on your behalf, and most assistants confirm before changing anything. See exactly what each permission covers.
- It can only ever act on the household tied to your OneHaus sign in. Access follows your account, nothing more.
- Custom connectors run from the assistant's own cloud, so only connect servers you trust. OneHaus is built and run by us, and you can disconnect at any time by removing the connector in your assistant's settings.
OneHaus's own AI features are separate from this connector. The MCP connector simply lets the assistant you already use reach your household data, with you approving every step.
Works Where You Already Talk

- ChatGPT: add OneHaus as a custom connector. This needs a paid plan (Plus, Pro or Enterprise) with Developer Mode switched on under Settings, Apps & Connectors, Advanced settings.
- Claude: connect on the web or desktop. Custom connectors are available on every Claude plan, including Free, which is limited to one custom connector, so OneHaus can be it. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector once, then each member signs in with their own account.
- Claude Code: yes, really. Add OneHaus as an MCP server and manage the household without leaving the terminal.
- Other MCP tools: anything that speaks MCP can connect the same way.
In both ChatGPT and Claude, you enable the OneHaus connector per conversation from the chat's connected-apps menu, so it's only active when you want it to be.
WhatsApp support is coming soon, and connecting is rolling out gradually, so if your household can't connect yet, it's on the way.
Same Household, In Three Places
iPhone in your pocket, iPad on the desk, and now the assistant you think out loud with. All three share one household and one source of truth.
Ask Claude to add eggs to the shopping list and they land on your partner's phone the next time their app checks in. Tick a chore off in the app and your assistant sees it's done. Every change is kept in sync across your devices, in every direction. See it on iPhone or on all your devices.
How to Get Started
- Open your assistant's connector settings and add
https://mcp.onehaus.appas a custom connector. In ChatGPT, switch on Developer Mode first. - Sign in with your OneHaus account and approve access.
- Ask for something. "What needs attention this week?" is a good first question.
The connection guides walk through the exact steps for each assistant. New to OneHaus? Every plan starts with a free 30-day trial, no card needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a paid ChatGPT or Claude plan?
It depends on the assistant. ChatGPT needs a Plus, Pro or Enterprise plan with Developer Mode enabled. Claude offers custom connectors on every plan, including Free, where you can add one custom connector (so OneHaus can be it); paid Claude plans allow more. These are the plan requirements as of June 2026, and they change over time, so check your assistant's connector settings for the latest. On the OneHaus side, there's nothing extra to buy.
Does this cost extra on top of my OneHaus subscription?
No. One household subscription covers everyone in your home on every platform: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android, and connected AI assistants.
What can my assistant actually see and do?
Exactly what your OneHaus account can: view your household's tasks, calendar, lists and records across eight record types, and make changes when you ask it to. It asks for both permissions when you connect, and you can disconnect at any time from your assistant's settings.
Which assistants are supported?
ChatGPT, Claude on web and desktop, Claude Code, and any other tool that supports MCP connectors. WhatsApp support is coming soon.
Is my data safe with a custom connector?
Yes. You sign in through your assistant's own secure flow, so no password or key is ever pasted into a chat. The connector can only reach the household tied to your account, and you approve view and change permissions before anything happens. Remove the connector in your assistant's settings to revoke access instantly.
What's Next
Connecting is rolling out gradually right now, and WhatsApp is next on the list, so you'll soon be able to run the household from the chat app your family already uses for everything else. Connect your assistant today, or start with the iPhone app and add the connector when you're ready.
